Before treatment:
The patient felt pain in his lower limbs without any reasons 3 years ago, he went to the local hospital to have examinations and considered as osteoarthritis without any treatment, and the patient felt pain in lower back and both lower limbs, the condition was worse after exercise and his daily life was affected. He had ankylosis sometimes but he could walk normal. The patient feels pain in lower back and lower limbs at present, could walk slowly, but he can’t move his joints very well. He wants a better life, so he comes to our medical center. His spirit was good, his weight was normal. He couldn’t sleep well and easy to wake up during sleep. His diet was not regular, he ate less and he needed medicine to have defecation, sometimes he felt pain when he urinating, it was better when he took some medicine, he had diabetes type II and hypertension for many years.

Admission PE:
Bp: 142/73mmHg; Hr: 72/min. Height: 163.5cm, weight: 76.5 kg. His nutrition and body were normal. There was no yellow stains or petechia on skin and mucosa. There was no congestion in pharynx oralis, his tonsil was normal. There were enlargement of lymph nodes in his low jaw. There was no swelling or node in thyroid gland. His thorax was symmetrical, the respiratory sound in both lungs was clear, with no dry or moist rales. The heart sound was low. The cardiac rhythm was regular, with no obvious murmur in the valves. The abdomen was soft and bulge, with no pressing pain or rebound tenderness. His liver and spleen were normal. His thoracic vertebra was not straight, his low back had pressing pain. Both side groin, low back, both side knees and ankles had pressing pain. His joints were hurt, so his straight-leg raising test was positive. There was no edema in his both lower limbs. His blood sugar: 8-20mmol/L.

Nervous System Examination:
Saeed Samikh Alowair was alert and spoke fluently. His orientation was normal, he had hypomnesis, his calculation was bad. His eyeballs move normally and both pupils were equal in size and round, the diameter was 2.5mms. Both eyeballs reacted normally to light stimulus and had no nystagmus. The forehead wrinkle pattern and nasolabial groove were symmetrical. His tongue was centered in the oral cavity with no teeth deflection. His neck was soft, he could shrug his shoulder powerful. The muscle tone of his four limbs was normal and the muscle strength was level 5. The deep and shallow sensation was normal. The abdominal reflex was normal. The tendon reflex of four limbs was lower than normal, the palm jaw reflex was positive, the Babinski sign was negative. Rapid rotation test, finger to finger test and heel knee shin test were normal. The meningeal irritation sign was negative.

Treatment:
He was diagnosed with 1.Osteoarthritis, 2.Diabetes type II, 3. hypertension Level I. He received 3 times of neural stem cell injection and 3 times of mesenchymal stem cell injection. He also received treatment to fix nerves and joints, fight against senium, nourish neurons, relieve pain, prevent inflammation, stabilize blood pressure and control his immunologic function, together with rehabilitation training.

Post-treatment:
After the treatment, the patient’s blood pressure has been well controlled between 120-135/70-80 mmHg. His blood sugar was better, fasting blood sugar 5-7mmol/L,  postprandial blood sugar 8-13mmol/L. His sleep, sprit and memory were better. He had less pain in his low back and both lower limbs. He can do straight-leg raising test better, the joint angle was larger. His joints were less inflexible, he didn’t feel pain when he urinating.
